Kharkiv is one of the most important cultural and
educational centers of Ukraine.The University was founded in
1804.There are numerous other institutions of higher
education in Kharkiv now.
On the end of 2001 the
total number of the library stock of the higher education
institutions of the region was 20330025, users - 275545,
18793913 items are loaned annually. The Central Scientific
Library of Kharkiv National University is the regional
